Important Application Reminders
Leveraging Educational Assistance Partnership
- File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible. If the Student Aid Report (SAR) needs corrections, attach the corrected copy of the SAR to the LEAP application.
- Consider filing the FAFSA electronically, you will receive your SAR faster.
- Separate the LEAP application from the instructions at the perforation; read them carefully and keep the instructions for future reference.
- Complete Section A of the Leap application; attach the SAR and send the application to the college that you plan to attend.
- Students: Do not fill out any part of Section B. The Financial Aid Office completes this section.
- Send the LEAP application and the SAR to the college you will be attending at the same time. If they receive one part without the other, your application will go into an incomplete file and this will delay processing.
- We do not accept fax copies of the LEAP application.
- Decide which college you will be attending before you send us the application. If you change your mind after you send us the application, call us and request a transfer form. The transfer form must be received in our office by July 31, 2004.
